MOORHEAD (KFGO) – Although Minnesota's new recreational marijuana law goes into effect Tuesday, employees with the City of Moorhead won't see much change in terms of policy. City Human Resources director Amy Settergren says employees who fall under federal regulations will continue to be subject to random drug testing. Those employees include equipment operators with commercial drivers licenses, and safety personnel like firefighters and police officers. Employees who don't fall under federal law aren't tested at random, but Settergren says the city still has a no impairment policy, so any employee suspected of impairment could be drug tested.
