MOORHEAD — State Rep. Heather Keeler's second swearing-in ceremony for the Minnesota House of Representatives at the state's Capitol made history. "We had the first-ever round dance in the rotunda, and it was historic because our Native American drums were never allowed in the Capitol," the Democrat Keeler said. "We started off the session in a really good way and it was a beautiful thing." Ever since 2020 when she began her first term as a representative for District 4A in Moorhead, Keeler has tried to make history, at first by focusing on education, a topic she knew much about.
