MOORHEAD – There are five finalists to become the next president of Minnesota State University Moorhead. They are Mohamed Abousalem, Tim Downs, Scott Furlong, Arrick Jackson, and Jodi Kupper. Only Jackson has ties to the university having served as provost and senior vice president of academic affairs since 2019. The candidates will be interviewed next week. A selection is expected by March 22 during the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities meeting. The new president will start July 1 and replace President Anne Blackhurst who is retiring after leading the university since 2014.
